Advanced Revelation & OpenInsight
Decompiling Service

Bucks vs Bytes has been in the AREV and OpenInsight business for almost 15 years. As developers and troubleshooters, we realized early on that loss of Rbasic source code was a recurring problem for many firms dependent on Revelation-based applications.

Staff turnover, multiple application versions, and out-of-business developers can all lead to a situation where the source code for a running application is missing or indeterminate. When a problem arises or modifications are needed this becomes a potentially expensive crisis.

To answer this need, we developed ReSource, the Rbasic decompiler. It takes Rbasic or Basic+ object code and generates accurate, neatly indented source code, ready to analyze or modify. Unlock various other decompiler attempts, ReSource even reconstructs the high level decision structures, such as FOR..WHILE..NEXT, LOOP..UNTIL..REPEAT, and IF..THEN..ELSE, that are destroyed during the conversion to object code.

Because decompiling is a powerful tool that can be abused to deprive program authors of their legitimate license fees, we do not sell the decompiler program outright. Instead, we offer decompiling service, and reserve the right to request documentation that shows ownership or licensing terms of the software to be decompiled.

The service begins at US$0.01 per object byte, with a US$20.00 minimum charge. For large decompiling jobs, discounts can be arranged.

ReSource source code recovery is constantly updated to decompile all Rbasic and Basic+ source code, regardless of version. We can handle the latest OpenInsight code with the same aplomb as we recover old Rev F programs.

If you're faced with reconstructing lost source code, rely on ReSource to save you days or weeks of redundant programming.
